This course is catered to both, experienced artists and beginners. Through the creative method of this class, beginners will be taught the basic composition drawing, perspective and shading techniques using pencils, once the student has built up their confidence and basic skills, painting will be introduced. For advanced students, they will be guided to discover their own style and further improve their artistic skills and painting techniques.

Portrait Drawing 
- Portrait drawing with pencil
o Basics of portrait drawing
o Anatomy of eye, nose and mouth (front, side, ¾)
- Portrait drawing with colors
o Live drawing of nose, mouth and eye from figure (sculptures)
o Figure drawing (sculpture) using pastel colors
o Figure drawing (sculpture) using oil paints

 

Painting 

- Soft Pastel Drawing
- Acrylic Painting
- Oil Painting

 

Materials needed
- Sketch book Canson, size 25 x 35
- Faber Castell (made in Germany) pencils HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B (green color from outside)
- Charcoal eraser
- Cutter
- Soft Pastel colors (box of 72 colors) Faber Castle
- Wooden frame 60 x 80
- Colored Canson papers
- Eraser
- 4 sheets of cellophane paper
- Pins
